What does R.S.I. stand for?
- Q. What are the advantages of using the Producer Lounge?
- A. The Producer Lounge allows you to check policy billing, obtain loss runs on the accounts you write with us and quote 15 classes of Specialty Contractor business.
- Q. Do I need a login to access the Producer Lounge?
- A. Yes. Each agency is assigned an Agency Administrator who is responsible for assigning and maintaining user logins and passwords for each individual within the agency.
- Q. Do I have to use the Producer Lounge to quote business or can I access the quoting / Rate Sample Indicator through the public Red Shield website?
- A. Yes. The Rate Sample Indicator should be used within the Producer Lounge.
- Q. Once I quote business through the Producer Lounge, how long will I have access to the business quoted?
- A. Quoted business stays in the Agency Activity area for 30 days. During this time frame, you have the ability to view or to requote, if necessary.
- Q. In the Agency Activity area, what do these buttons mean? APP-CMP-QTE-BR
- A. APP=Links to an APPLICATION that is in process but not yet complete. CMP=Links to an application that is COMPLETED but not yet quoted. QTE=Links to an application that has been completed and QUOTED. BND=Sends a BIND REQUEST for an application that has been quoted.
- Q. What happens when I click the QUOTE button?
- A. Once the QUOTE button is selected, you will receive a formal quote by email. When received, you will be able to review the quote and request a bind for coverage on the risk.
- Q. I completed the application in full, however, when I try to quote the business, I get a message saying that my application was sent to underwriting for review. What does this mean?
- A. This message means that the risk requires further underwriting review before a formal Red Shield quote can be generated. A Red Shield Underwriter will be contacting you shortly.
- Q. Is coverage bound when I click the BIND REQUEST?
- A. No. Coverage is not bound until you receive a “Confirmation of Binding” from Red Shield. This should arrive within a couple of hours, or certainly by the next business day. Okay to call us if urgent.
- Q. What happens when I click the BIND REQUEST button?
- A. The bind request button sends an email to Red Shield Underwriting notifying them of the request to bind the risk. Once the bind is complete, you will receive a Confirmation of Binding via email. The Confirmation of Binding will include the policy number.
- Q. What do I do with the Terrorism Form if I have already accepted terrorism coverage in the bind request submission?
- A. If your client accepts the terrorism coverage, they must sign the terrorism form provided within the quote and a copy must be sent to us for our records. Please be sure to advise your underwriter about the TRIA election so they bind at the right premium and include the right forms.
- Q. What does R.S.I. stand for?
- A. Rate Sample Indicator. This is where you can rate 15 classes of service contractors.
